You know what this Wedding with a Tuscan Touch in Florida reminded me of? I really love my job as a photographer… Like… I really, REALLY do! There are so many reasons why. For example the freedom to choose when and where I want to work. When and for how long want to vacation. I enjoy being my own boss and getting to be creative! Working remotely or from home (which by the way, COVID-19 RUINED for so many people, but not me!! #Hermitlife4eva). But If I have to pick the one thing I love the most, it would most definitely have to be the relationships I get to build along the line.
A Beautiful Example is My Friendship with Alayna!
It started with an email almost a year prior to her wedding. She had reached out to Emiley Creates, who is another WONDERFUL example of the relationships I’ve been lucky to establish through this line of work. Since Em was my own wedding photographer! However, Emiley was not available. Therefore, she referred Alayna over to me (Check out my Referral Program). When Alayna told me how she had ended up in my Instagram profile, I immediately knew she held her wedding photography to high standards and when she told me a little bit about her and Matt, their home, their story and their wedding plans, I knew that we were a perfect pair! (Sorry Matt!)
How they met!
Alayna told me about how she met her then fiancé, Matt. They met during college, where they both attended Stetson University. A few of their friends actually introduced them because they thought they’d be a good match… they were right!! After graduation, Alayna and Matt moved in together and adopted two ADORABLE puppies, Badger and Grizzly who are featured in their engagement session of course! A few years later, Matt proposed to Alayna on Valentine’s Day weekend and Alayna told me how amazing she felt about marrying her best friend! How wonderful, kind and caring Matt is, and I concur!
Who they are!
Matt manages a Nursing Home, caring for our elder folks and during these crazy pandemic times he has been dedicating to them even more intensively! He is an All-American gentleman, who loves to grill and fish! A quiet fella with a heart of gold!
Alayna, is the absolute opposite of a quiet lady. She is a certainly an extrovert who loves to get silly and will definitely match your energy levels any time of the day! At the same time, she is such an empathetic soul, full of love and positivity. She makes anyone she meets feel like the center of the universe with her genuine conversation.
I actually love them both so much!
Surprise New Endeavors!
Alayna did such a FANTASTIC job designing her gorgeous wedding at Bella Collina with the help of Eventfully Yours so much so, that she decided to venture into the business of event planning herself, and she’s KILLING it! Since opening her Boutique Wedding and Event Planning Company, Roots to Stems, she’s been helping couples enthusiastically design, coordinate and execute their special day, not only through her one on one services, but also through her blog! I am SO excited to work together on the wedding we have in the books for next year! However, I am even more grateful to have experienced how this sweet, encouraging friendship has flourished so much in the past year or so!
