A Long Awaited Wedding in New Smyrna Beach, Florida
Andi & Brenton, what can I say about them… about their New Smyrna Wedding, about the love they so seemingly feel for one another. I just feel like I was incredibly fortunate that they chose me to photograph such a special day in their life.
Let’s start from the beginning…
Andi reached out to me mid-August 2018, she was finishing up her last semester of College in the midst of all the wedding planning! (That’s tough!). She told me a little bit about what their love had been like. Andi and Brenton had been friends since freshmen year in high school. However, in senior year they decided to start dating. Which in my book is really brave!
If you think about it, they were both ending a huge chapter of their lives as basically children and beginning an even huger (is that a word?) one as young adults! Life could have easily taken them in different paths, away from each other both physically and emotionally. And it did for a while… physically speaking. But not emotionally!
They attended different schools in different cities and, actually rather far away from each other! Andi just finished attending the Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee, preceded by two years of College in their hometown of Vero Beach. All This time, Brenton attended the University of Florida.
They did the “long-distance” thing for four and a half years. Let me repeat, 4.5 years! They supported each other’s careers and professional goals, all the while building one of the sweetest loves I’ve seen in 5 years of being a wedding photographer in Florida.

The photo on the left, the wedding bands and engagement rings… The photo on the right displays a piece of Andi’s mom’s wedding dress! I used it to style other details… it was truly a lovely addition to the whole detail set up!

Let the Vows Begin!! The couple had everyone between tears and laughter all throughout!

This was such a special moment in the ceremony… All of the closest family members of the bride and groom got together to dedicate verses of the bible and cast blessing upon the couple! Talk about teary-eyes!
After the exchange of rings, the moment we’ve all been waiting for….
Now I pronounce you: HUSBAND AND WIFE!!
If this is not happiness.. I don’t know what is!
Ceremony over… Now it’s time for some snacks and drinkies!

They just love each other so much and it’s honestly so easy to see!

I ADORE this photo!!! In this photo, Brenton’s Best Man, J.R & Andi’s Matrons of Honor (her two sisters, Lauren & Morgan) jump towards the center to bump BUMPS!! In the back you can see Brenton’s Sister, Jordan scarred reaction…. Morgan was 8 months pregnant at the time! LOL
